HISTORY

With its many years of experience, Kabelovna Děčín Podmokly, s.r.o. has traditionally been a prominent European cable manufacturer. However, massive investment in recent years has seen the company join those elite companies in Europe with the very latest technology. 

Metallic cables with SKIN-FOAM-SKIN core insulation, with the core of the cable filled with special water-repellent material, cables with layered casing and optical cables with multimode and singlemode fibres: these are the standard types of technology through which Kabelovna Děčín Podmokly, s.r.o. now responds to the ever-growing needs of its customers. 

Our comprehensive, computer-operated production technology and other machinery together with our many years of experience offer a guarantee that Kabelovna Děčín Podmokly, s.r.o. is able to meet the specific requirements of its customers throughout the world. 

Cooperation with other companies within the Wilms Group has allowed us to broaden the number of types of cable we offer and we can therefore thus offer full satisfaction to existing customers and bring in new ones at the same time.

Merge with Belden company, Belden CDT inc. was established.

CDT Pittsburgh becomes a majority owner of the company.

Establishment of subsidiary company KDP Kabeltechnik Berlin, GmbH.

ISO 14001 certification completed.

Czech Republic Quality Award.

Initiation of installation cables production.

Initiation of cable assemblies production.

Company share acquisition by SIEMENS AG.

Privatization, establishment of incorporated company. The original name KABELOVNA Decín Podmokly, a. s. was used.

Initiation of fiber optic cables production.

Termination of power cables production.

Construction of new hall to expand the production of communication cables.
1961
KABLO Děčín became a monopoly producer of communication cables for local networks.
1959
Production of remote communication cables.
1950
Establishment of national company KABLO Decín.
1945
The company came under the national control of Križík a. s. corporation. Then it was nationalized and became a part of national company KABLO Bratislava. Production of power and communication cables with a lead coating, rubberized wires, and coil wires.
1930
The company completely burnt down. Production restored at the end of the year 1930.
1919
The company was acquired by „Elektrotechnické závody František Križík, Praha, a. s.“ Initiation of remote communication cables production.
1911
The launch of Production – 750 employees. Production of power and communication cables,
cable sets and accessories, rubber wires and insulation tubes including accessories.
